Haps 11 March 2022 – Nabuurs Logistiek has reached agreement with abrdn on the Sale & Leaseback of the new DC to be built for Nabuurs at Regionaal Bedrijvenpark Laarakker alongside the A73 in Haps.
On a plot of over 5 hectares, Heembouw Architects has designed an ultra-modern and extremely sustainable distribution centre, which Nabuurs Logistiek will move into in the middle of Q1 2023. The building will be used primarily by Nabuurs for further expansion for existing clients. It will also become the new head office for the company, which has been based in Haps for many years. Construction of the distribution centre has already started.
The distribution centre, which will be built by Heembouw, consists of over 29,000 m² of distribution space, 3,200 m² of mezzanine space and 1,500 m² of office space. The building will be equipped with solar panels and upon completion will have BREEAM certification ‘Very Good’.
abrdn will take ownership of the building on behalf of one of its funds and will finance the construction by forward-funding. Nabuurs has issued a long-term lease commitment for this purpose. With this purchase, abrdn has acquired its second DC at Regionaal Bedrijvenpark Laarakker.
Nabuurs Logistiek was assisted in this transaction by CMS and commercially by INDUSTRIAL real estate partners.
abrdn was assisted legally by Van Doorne.
